Mr. Davis was born in Geauga County Ohio, January 14, 1825. His journey for Oregon began in 1852 in which he made the journey twice. First in 1852, becoming dissatisfied with the country, he returned to Iowa in 1855, married Emily George in 1857 and returned to Oregon in 1880. His diary begins in Illinois in 1852 where he wintered and May. Top front cover is slightly chipped. Pages are very clean and complete. Binding is tight.

Article, "In honor of my parents and grandparents, Pioneers of Oregon" by Mrs. Sarah B. Findley Radford. Covers and pages are dampstained on top edge, however, pages are clean and complete. Jubal Anderson Early. Mr. Craig came to Oregon in 1853 via Panama, acquiring the language of Greek, Hebrew, Latin and French, without a teacher, before he was sixteen. "Diary of Mrs. Amelia Stewart Knight, An Oregon Pioneer of 1853 (who's black and white photograph is in the beginning of this copy). Pages are very clean and complete. Binding is tight.

Zeiber, 1851 who was born in Pennsylvania in 1803. He began his journey to Oregon in 1851, arriving October of that year. Copy is in very good condition. Pages are clean and complete. Binding is tight.

The 39th Annual Reunion of the Oregon Pioneer Association Portland, June 21, 1911 has the diary of Jesse Harritt, 1845. Corners are bent and several chips on the edge of front cover. Front cover is beginning to separate from spine, however is still intact. Head and tail are slightly chipped. Pages are clean and complete. Binding is tight.

Mrs. Adams was very observant and an excellent source of daily routine. "Narrative of James Longmire, A pioneer of 1853" which gives an in depth account of fighting with the Puyallup tribe. Slight chipping on back cover. Both covers are slightly sun faded. Dampstain on top edges of pages. One staple is beginning to rust and shows through the front cover, however pages are not affected. Binding is tight.
