Publisher's blue cloth binding, lovely portrait of author in sliver on front. Very faint spotting on cover, otherwise remarkably good condition. 629 pages with 53 illustrations on plates, complete. Also contains biography of William Jennings Bryan by his wife, Mary Baird Bryan, and the text of many of his speeches. Uncommon in this condition. William Jennings Bryan (1860-1925) was a leading American politician in the populist wing of the Democratic Party. He was the Democratic Party candidate for President in 1896, 1900 and 1908. This is his account of his first Presidential campaign.
