Original brown cloth with gilt, green and blue designs on the front cover and spine. 8 X 10 3/4 inches. 505 pages. Top edges gilt. Deckled edges. Copy contains 17 color plates. Plates are fully intact. Contents include, Venice, the Grand Canal, Venice: an early impression, two old houses and three young women, Casa Alvisi, from Chambery to Milan, the old Saint-Gothard, Italy revisited, a Roman holiday, Roman rides, Roman neighbourhoods, the after-season in Rome, from a Roman note-book, a few other Roman neighbourhoods, a chain of cities, Siena early and late and the autumn in Florence. Several pages have foxing. Corners slightly worn. Copy is clean and binding is tight.
