Original green cloth with gilt lettering on red leather on spine. 9 X 11 1/2 inches. 4 Volume set. Set is complete. Vol I: 538pp, Vol II:538pp, Vol III: 652pp and Vol IV: 634pp. All volumes have maps. Vol IV has a foldout map that is slightly torn along the fold and on the outer edge. Illustrations of the map are still legible. Foxing on many pages in all four volumes. In volume one a previous owner put his bookplate. The bookplate belonged to Sir Robert Johnson Eden (1774-1844), the 5th Baron of the Eden Baronetcy of West Auckland. The heads and tails on all volumes are slightly bumped, however the complete set is in very good condition, clean and complete.
