Original publisher's brown cloth binding. 3 1/2" x 4 7/8." 121 pages, complete. Impressed decorations on front and back covers. Gilt lettering on spine. Part of the Vest-Pocket Series of Standard and Popular Authors. Information on the series and advertisements for books on front and back endpapers. Former ownership inscription in ink on front flyleaf: "Louise C. Ham (?)". Pages are clean except for two pages (pages 68 and 69) which have browning from a newspaper clipping that was laid-in. Binding is tight. A very clean copy overall. From the Bibliography of American Literature (BAL) 5966: State "A." James T. Fields recollects his interactions with the acclaimed English poet, Bryan Waller Procter (1787-1874), who wrote under the name, "Barry Cornwall."
