Image, in color, of the 'Pike' with the Bath House and Pool, known as the 'Plunge', on the right during the day. The Pike in Long Beach was the most famous Amusement Zone on the west coast from 1902 to 1969. A mile long beach boardwalk along the shore and home to the 'Cyclone Racer' among other famous rides. One could attend movies, eat lunch or dinner, watch vaudeville shows, or dance the evening away, besides going for an indoor swim.
