circa.1890s. Two original photographs (4 1/2 x 6 inch) of a rock drill manufactured by the Cyclone Drill Co. They were manufactured to do text borings, drill blast holes and dig water and oil wells. The images show the drill from different angles. Two men are posing alongside the drill in a rock quarry at an unknown location. Ohio? The machine number painted on the side of the drill is 'No. 1123'. Cyclone Drill Co later on became Sanderson Cyclone Drill Co., and in turn it was purchased by the Ingersoll-Rand Corporation. Slight evidence of folding along the edges of the photographs.
