Local points of interest are also advertised, such as Monterey, Seventeen Mile Drive, and the San Carlos Hotel. The Hotel Manx was built in the early 1900s. During Prohibition, the basement of the hotel became a speakeasy, and when the Golden Gate Bridge was being constructed in the 1930s, many workers from the bridge construction crew lived at the hotel. Since then, the Hotel Manx has had several renovations and still stands and operates today as the Villa Florence.
