A collection of original photographs showing actress Alice Faye in different outfits and settings and at various points during her career and a few other items relating to Faye such as newspaper articles and movie posters. Seven of the photographs are signed by Alice Faye. Alice Faye (1915-1998) was an American actress and singer who starred in many movies and is best-known for her performance of the Academy-Award-winning song, "You'll Never Know," in the 1943 musical film, Hello, Frisco, Hello. These photographs and items belonged to Robert "Bob" Kendall, a longtime friend of Faye who also took many of these photographs. No date, circa 1930s-1960s. Most of the photographs are black and white and measure 8" x 10." Photographs and items are very clean and intact. The following are in this collection: a plastic envelope with seventeen photographs (six are signed and inscribed by Alice Faye to Bob Kendall; one photograph is a still from a movie Faye starred in, Hollywood Cavalcade (1939); two of the photographs appear to be scans); a beige folder with nine photographs with matching negatives (eight of which are portraits or movie stills), twenty negatives, several newspaper articles relating to Alice Faye, and a color image of Faye wearing a costume; a white envelope containing twenty-five portraits and movie stills (a few appear to match the stand-alone negatives in the beige folder); and three 11" x 14" portrait photographs (one of which is signed and inscribed by Faye to Kendall) and two multicolored movie posters (one is 9 1/4" x 12 1/4"; the other is 7 1/2" x 9 1/2").
