The illustration on the dust wrapper shows Billie Bradley overlooking an oceanside scene. 5 3/8" x 7 5/8." 204 pages, complete. One black and white frontispiece, complete. Eight pages of advertisements in the back for other titles in the Billie Bradley series and similar books and series such as the Barton Books for Girls, the Linger-Not series, the Ruth Fielding series, the Betty Gordon series, the Girl Scout series, the Curlytops series, and the Ruby and Ruthy series. Inside of dust wrapper also has advertisements for books aimed at boys and girls. Pages and covers of the book are very clean and intact except for light rubbing at edges of the covers and bottom of the text block. Binding is tight. Dust wrapper is very clean and intact except for slight chipping at the corners and top and bottom of the spine and back panel. A fine book in a fine dust wrapper. This book is No. 5 in the Billie Bradley series of nine books total. Brief description from an ad in the back: "A tale of outdoor adventure in which Billie and her chums have a great variety of adventures. They visit an artists' colony and there fall in with a strange girl living with an old boatman who abuses her constantly. Billie befriended Hulda and the mystery surrounding the girl was finally cleared up."
