Among the listed women's organizations are the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), Colonial Dames, and Women's Auxiliaries of the American Legion. Excerpt from the broadside: "Women's Clubs throughout the Nation and in many foreign countries are arranging for participation in the celebration. In the General Federation of Women's Clubs alone there are 14,500 clubs representing an individual membership of over two million women. ... No town is too small or too remote to participate in the bicentenary observance. From some of the smallest communities in the country the Commission has received some of the heartiest expressions of interest and cooperation."
