Original publisher's white wrappers with staple binding. 5" x 7 3/4." Fifty-six pages, complete. Pages are very clean and intact except for slight wrinkling on the pages. Staples slightly rusted. Excerpt from Page 1: "This booklet is one of a series of releases intended to serve as source material for speakers and for those who ask for up-to-date information about Canada's participation in the war. It is revised monthly and contains the most recent of available facts and figures. September marks the second anniversary of Canada's entry into the war. This issue contains a special foreword by the Minister of Justice, Rt. Hon. Ernest Lapointe, who is Acting Prime Minister during Mr. King's visit to Britain." The following are some of the contents: "General Summary," "Canada's Armed Forces," "Aid to Britain," "Home Defence and Security," "Equipping the Armed Forces," "The War and the Canadian Economy," "Financial Undertakings," "Voluntary Contributions and Services," "War Administration," and "The United States and the Canadian War Effort." In the back are two paragraphs titled, "Canada Pays Cash for American Supplies" and "Canada 'Lend-Leases' to Britain." In the back are five paragraphs of statistics in the back as they pertain to Canada during World War II including. One of these paragraphs has the title, "Some of the War's Effects on Canadian Civilians."
