Original publisher's white wrappers with staple binding. 5" x 7 3/4." Twenty-four pages, complete. One black and white illustration on the front cover showing two men looking at a map on a military air base with airplanes in the foreground and background, complete. Two advertisements in the back promoting the purchase of War Savings Certificates and the salvage of rubber. Pages are very clean and intact except for some wrinkling and creases on the front and back covers. Staples slightly rusted. Quoted from a note in front about "Change of Presentation": "With the tenth monthly issue of 'Canada at War,' a change of presentation is inaugurated. In the interest of economy--the saving of paper--the booklet will henceforth be issued in supplement form. There will be supplements issued monthly for three consecutive months: e.g., January, February and March; and a complete booklet will consequently be revised to April 1, and incorporated information contained in the three supplements and preceding booklets. Future issues of 'Canada at War' will be published in this manner. The purpose of 'Canada at War' has in no way been changed by its different form. It remains a cumulative record of Canada's war effort." The following are some of the Contents: "'I Could Speak of......" [an address given by Prime Minister Churchill], "Canada in the World Conflict," "Canada, the United States and the War," "The Armed Forces," "Canadians at Hong Kong," "Women in Uniform," "Canada, Arsenal and Storehouse," "Supplies to the Battlefronts," and "The Home Front: Controlling Prices; Supply; Mobilization of Manpower; Extend Wage Order."
