This postcard shows a flock of swans and other waterfowl gathering around a family who are presumably feeding them near a pond in Beacon Hill Park, Victoria, British Columbia (BC). Beacon Hill Park is a municipal park that was founded in 1882. Its name comes from a small hill in the park overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca that once had navigational beacons. Beacon Hill Park remains a public park to this day and is popular among tourists and locals alike.
