Original black-and-white publicity photograph showing actor Dana Andrews and actress Rhonda Fleming in their respective roles for the crime drama, While the City Sleeps. Andrews and Fleming both face viewers in a bust shot. Andrews wears a suit, and Fleming is shown in a white lace dress. No date, circa 1956. 8" x 10." Photo is very clean and intact except for slightly bumped corners, slight age toning along the edges, and a few wrinkles. A Very Good, almost Near Fine copy. Although there is no accompanying description on back, this publicity photograph was printed on the occasion of While the City Sleeps (1956), a film noir in which Dana Andrews and Rhonda Fleming co-starred. While the City Sleeps was based on the Bloody Spur, a book about the infamous "Lipstick Killer." Andrews plays a reporter, Edward Mobley, who decides to help catch the serial killer. Fleming plays Dorothy Kyne, the wife of Walter Kyne. Walter is the son of a news media mogul, Amos Kyne, the latter of whom is introduced as the head of the corporation Mobley works for, Kyne, Inc.
