Original lithograph card with a color illustration on front of vignette of a beautiful country landscape with a few buildings semi-hidden among trees, plants, and grasses. Illustration is half-tone in green and white. Gilt accent decorations on illustration. Gilt border around vignette. No date, circa 1890s-1910s. 4" x 2 3/4." Card is very clean and intact except for a small dampstain on front and slight surface chipping on the top edge of gilt border. A Near Fine copy. This card bears some resemblance to trade cards, which are antique business cards and the predecessors of modern trading cards. Trade cards were most common during the late nineteenth century.
