Original lithograph card with a slightly embossed color illustration on front of a country landscape at morning or sunset with a creek or pond in the foreground. Scene is bordered by a white background and blue flowers. Unique scallop shape. No date, circa 1890s-1910s. 2 3/4" x 3 3/4." Card is very clean and intact except for slight age toning and a few small marks to front and back. A Near Fine copy. This card bears some resemblance to trade cards, which are antique business cards and the predecessors of modern trading cards. Trade cards were most common during the late nineteenth century.
