Original lithograph card with a color illustration on front of a bucolic landscape at sunset. Scene is shown in a vignette that fades into a white background. From foreground to background are the following: trees and plants, a creek or pond, buildings, and gilt accents in the sky suggesting either a forest or clouds. Beautiful colors. No date, circa 1890s-1910s. 4" x 4." Card is very clean and intact except for slight age toning, slight wear to corners and edges, and a small wrinkle in the upper-right corner. A Near Fine copy. This card bears some resemblance to trade cards, which are antique business cards and the predecessors of modern trading cards. Trade cards were most common during the late nineteenth century.
