A letter sheet with a portrait illustration of George B. McClellan (1826-1885), an American general of the Union Army during the Civil War. McClellan was also a civil engineer, railroad executive, and the 24th governor of New Jersey. This portrait illustration shows McClellan in a stately pose, looking off to the side, with his right hand resting in the vest of his military uniform, and his left hand arm propping up a scabbard tied around his waist. Printed text below the portrait reads as follows: "Magee, 316 Chestnut St., Phila.; Maj. Genl. Geo. B. McClellan.; Entered according to the Act of Congress, in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, by J. Magee, in the year 1861."
