No date, circa 1926. 8 3/4" x 5 1/2." Drawings are virtually pristine and intact except for slight age toning to paper and a few subtle indentations and wrinkles not affecting the drawn portions. Each drawing is Fine and Fine as an entire collection. A collection of five beautiful drawings done in meticulous and fine detail. Marks, shading, and coloring are executed with finesse. With the exception of one, all scenes are in color. The media used for the drawings appear to be pencil, colored pencil, and pastel. The following description summarizes each of the five leaves of artwork: (1) harbor view of Santos with green hills and two ships on the water and the title, "Einfahrt und Panorama v. Santos" ("Entrance and Panorama of Santos"), (2) harbor view with many ships, including a steamer at center, and gray mountains in background, (3) two drawings with each depicting a profile view of a white and black steamer, (4) two drawings with one depicting a profile view of the steamer "Amerik. P.D." and the other (entirely in graphite) showing a schooner and other boats in a harbor, and (5) sunset view of ships in a harbor or bay with light pinks, blues, and purples depicted in the sky and reflections on the water. The artist's signature may possibly read, "M. Bark," "Z. Berk," or "Z. Bertle."
