Original real estate loan application printed and handwritten in black ink with an original hand-drawn map of the property in black ink at the bottom. Signed by John S. Stokes below the drawing. 8 1/2" x 14." One page. One horizontal fold line at center. Loan application is very clean and intact except for tiny splits at the edges of the fold line, a few small marks, and slight age toning. A Very Good, almost Near Fine copy. This loan application is for $15,000 on a mortgage, secured by the bond of John Cody, for property located on 10th Avenue between 34th and 35th Streets in New York City. The property is near present-day Madison Square Garden. The property is described as a lot 74' x 100' holding four buildings. Three of the buildings are four-story homes, each measuring 24 8/12' x 30,' made of brick, and standing in the rear of the lot. The other building is a four-story store, 24 8/12' x 50,' newly constructed and made of brick. The combined value of the property is $54,000.
