Original black-and-white photo post card. Postcard is unused. Brief inscription in black ink on back identifies the man posing with the horses as "George C., Driver" (other photo postcards, such as #025223 in our catalog, depict George Chappell). No date, circa 1907-1915 ("PMC" stamp box with two upturned triangles in top corners and two downturned triangles in bottom corners printed on back ). 5 1/2" x 3 1/2." Postcard is very clean and intact except for light to moderate age toning on front and back, minuscule surface wear, a few wrinkles, and slight wear to extremities. A Very Good copy. A postcard showing a horse driver, George Chappell, with a team of horses. The horses are pulling two carts or wagons. The location is likely Mesa, Arizona based on other photo postcards. George may be the brother or a relative of Henry Chappell, who was also a horse driver in Mesa.
