Original black-and-white photo post card. Postcard is unused. Title handwritten in black ink in bottom and right margins. Title dates photo to 1909 (c. 1904-1918 "AZO" stamp box design with four upturned triangles printed on back ). 5 1/2" x 3 1/2." Postcard is very clean and intact except for light to moderate age toning on front and back, minuscule surface wear, a few wrinkles, and slight wear to extremities. A Very Good copy. A postcard showing a horse driver, George Chappell, with a team of horses in Mesa, Arizona. The horses are pulling carts or wagons. A few buildings and trees are visible in the background. George may be the brother or a relative of Henry Chappell, another horse driver in Mesa.
