Little and James Brown became partners, purchased an existing bookstore in 1837 which by 1841 started in the book publishing business. They first published law books and eventually expanded to a variety of works which included authors such as: Edward Everett Hale; Emily Dickinson; Louisa May Alcott; etc. Other than minor soiling along the spine of the dust jacket, a fine copy. Seldom seen in this condition.
