Evans, House Committee on Appropriations, advising that he had referred Evans' letter to Mr. Sweet and is sending along the office memorandum which was returned to him (not here present). Someone has added a couple of extra notations, including "Potatoes" and "Potato flour". Hoover was President of the United States from 1929-33. One of the posts he held prior to becoming President was that of U.S. Food Administrator (1917-19).
